The other reviewer is incorrect. He/she said:"If you're an accompanist using The Faith We Sing, this is the edition you want! It has simple hymnal-style accompaniments with the melody always in the lead line, unlike the bigger 3-ring accompaniment edition. Also has chord notations for easy improvising."I bought this edition completely based on this review, thinking that it would be like a smaller version of the other editions.NO. This edition does not have ANY music in it. It does not have "Hymnal style accompaniments with the melody always in the lead line". It's just a bunch of pages of stuff like "This song would be good for lent season because...". Fine, I know that's useful for somebody but it's not what I need.
This is everything that should have been in the original book-- the scriptural index is the biggest help. It also has stories/info about each song. I don't know why this is so obscure and no one seems to know it exists, at this price I own three so I have one at each church office and at home.
The Faith We Sing Worship Planner is a book similar in size to The Faith We Sing, Pew Edition. Unfortunately when I ordered the planner, I was sent the pew edition. The Planner has Worship Planner written on the front cover, about two thirds down. Also, it's bound with a metal spiral binder.
If you're an accompanist using The Faith We Sing, this is the edition you want! It has simple hymnal-style accompaniments with the melody always in the lead line, unlike the bigger 3-ring accompaniment edition. Also has chord notations for easy improvising.
