Marty Schupak seems to have put a solid effort into "T-Ball Skills & Drills." The book is divided into chapters touching upon a short history of T-Ball followed by chapters on skills such as fielding, throwing, hitting, and base-running. The 30+ creative drills are explained with pictures and plenty of detail. The drills are easy to set up and the kids enjoy them. Endless tips are given throughout the book, such as:"Separate skills. When teaching catching, don't throw. When teaching throwing, don't catch."or"Divide the team at practices as per skill level. Don't say 5 year olds over there and 6 year olds over here. Do it by name.'or"When practicing throwing, some kids think they are bringing their arms all the way back when in fact they are not. Take a free standing bench. Have each player lie down and throw a tennis ball to coach standing up at the end of the bench. Gravity will help the player experience the arm going all the way back, which they may be feeling for the first time."Mr. Schupak has not reinvented the game of baseball, but his theories are sound and this book works. Though it is more drills than skills, the detail throughout is impressive. I would recommend "T-Ball Skills & Drills" to little league t-ball coaches wanting to run an upbeat, stimulating practice. Parents will also gain insights into t-ball.

Great book for beginners
This book is a great How To for first time T ball coaches. Highly recommend for the specific drills that explain how to do the drill and what it teaches and why it is useful.
This is a wonderful book for parents and Little Leagues involved in tee ball.The section on the drills are worth the price alone but the suggestions throughoutthe book make it a “must have†for anyone starting out in any tee ball league or for activities at home. Highly recommended!
